WASHINGTON, D.C. – National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA) President John Goodman will testify before the House Ways & Means Subcommittee on Social Security that adoption of a fully funded private pension system, coupled with a restructuring of Medicare would convert Social Security to a safer, more lucrative retirement system for tomorrow's seniors.
Dr. Goodman, NCPA's founder and Ph.D. economist, has spent the last decade studying alternatives to the current Social Security system in Chile, Singapore, Hong Kong, Columbia, Peru, Argentina, United Kingdom and elsewhere. One of the nation's foremost authorities on pension privatization, Dr. Goodman wrote one of the first books published on the subject.
